OzzieMan Disaster
This is news, not a debate. OzzieMan's house has burned down. Ozzie and all the family are safe, as are the pets due to quick action by OzzieMan's 16-year-old son.
The house is a total loss, however; the insurance co. estimates 8 months before we can return. And until insurance finds us an equivalent house (tough in our neighborhood where people generally do not leave unless thay have to) it will be difficult for me to work on my projects.
The local fire department was magnificent, and thus far the insurance company has been good too. The community in general was very helpful, and the staff of the local Starbucks as well.
We do not yet know the cause of the fire so I don't want to say anything about that just now. We have a suspicion but are awaiting inspection by an electrical engineer.
