Is Audi's Portrayal Of The "Green Police" Correct?
I say yes. Thumbs up if you agree with me.
Over 100 million people viewed this ad during the Super Bowl and I bet the majority of them, even many of the so-called greenies, laughed their butts off.
All but the most extreme environmental alarmists and 'warmers' understand how the absurdity depicted in this commercial is a threat to individual liberty. Good job, Audi.
Yup, I agree with Ozzie on this one. It's clearly obvious this is not an anti-green ad. Regarding correctness, however, it makes the so-called "green police" look like mall cops. Is that an accurate portrayal?
Oh, CJ. If Audi had been selling a huge gas-guzzler, then the satire in this piece would indeed support your philosophy. However, the humor in the piece is all a set up for... their greenest car. That means they're actually in the camp you congratulate them for making fun of.
"It's not easy being green," Kermit the Frog famously once remarked. And while it still isn't, it's much harder to understand these days how anyone could actually be philosophically opposed to the environmental movement. Very odd. OzzieMan 02-08-2010 04:27 PM CT
Oh, OzzieMan. Audi is clearly making fun of environmental alarmists a.k.a. warmers a.k.a. environmental ecoMarxists a.k.a. Al Gore sycophants who wish to impose Cap & Trade and other ridiculous environmental regulations that will stifle economic growth.
There is a big difference between being environmentally responsible and being an environmental ecoMarxist. Many ignorant and foolish people latch onto the "environmental movement" a.k.a. environmental ecoMarxism which is headed up by frauds like Al Gore, the green prophet, thinking they are being responsible.
Al Gore and people like him are trying to implement rules and regulations like Cap and Trade that will regulate our economy into the stone ages, while doing NOTHING to affect the climate. That is worse than odd, it's lunacy. CJ 02-12-2010 09:50 AM CT
