Capitalism works best when the people are well educated. Socialism works best when the people's traits are relatively uniform and homogenous.
Description: I think that the two philosophies, Capitalism and Socialism, work best given certain biological and educational factors.

Correlation does not imply causation i.e. Unhappy people and watching TV
Description: According to how wiki defines it: Correlation between two variables does not imply that one causes the other. Its negation, correlation proves causation, is a logical fallacy by which two events that occur together are claimed to have a cause-and-effect relationship.

Malcom Gladwell - Human Diversity and variability is a wonderful thing.
Description: Came across this chap on MSNBC. He is an author on The Tipping Point: How Little Things Can Make a Big Difference (2000), Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking (2005), and Outliers: The Story of Success (2008). He is bi-racial, Mother is Jamaican and Father is a Brit. I know nothing about him but I was impressed with his interview on MSNBC. I think this video is pretty good. Might buy one of his books. Maybe some of you guys here can join me in the book yakker section to discuss one of the books. Interesting how he used Howard Moskowitz and human variability on Spaghetti Sauce for his example on this topic of innovation and the diversity of consumer happiness.

Should we be sensitive with people on Discussion boards?
Description: Recent news, a 19 year old committed suicide after people were taunting him. Here is the link of the video where the police find his body. http://www.livevideo.com/video/F29B145FA9F149DA8DEB6469B297D9D2/candyjunkie-vid.aspx Here is the article....A member of the popular site forum.bodybuilding.com committing suicide - and he did it ON CAMERA!! It all started when the 19 year old told posters that he was considering suicide. Immediately, other board members began taunting him - challenging him to go through with his suicide threat. Finally, after hours of harassment, the man reportedly set up a web camera and did it. The webcam stream reportedly showed the 19 year old swallowing pills and eventually lying down on his bad. A few hours later, the young man stopped breathing. The next morning, after moderators on the board tracked down the man's info, the web stream showed an officer kicking in the door and finding the youngsters body. Here are some excerpts from that board: Originally Posted by AusPower (forum.bodybuilding.com) A (former) member of the Misc who OD'd on web cam (JTV) and made a thread inviting members to come watch. Oh and it is all somehow Roxie's fault because various trolls say so. Thats it in a nutshell. The Chinese...More than Meets the Eye
Description: Despite these reports talking about the Chinese Economy is falling apart, I'm just not convinced. They are definitely a threat as far as the global competition goes. They excel in innovation and education and are now beginning to excel in areas that could permanently knock us a couple spots down the list of super powers. It has to be serious enough that they are teaching my Kindergartner and Pre-ker Chinese for 30 minutes a day. Do you think that we are running a losing race right now?

Is this Why John McCain Lost?
Description: Are these the typical "McCain-Palin" voters? You be the judge. I think not. But, for those who try to castigate Obama votes as such should know their is plenty of video out there that show the lunacy that party lathered up.

The Left's Rhetoric is the Same As Al-Qaida's
Description: Those on the left have called accomplished blacks like Colin Powell, Clarence Thomas, and Condoleezza Rice, house negroes. In fact, any black who doesn't bow down to the Democratic Party is categorized as a house negro, or worse. How delicious the irony that our ENEMIES use this same language to refer to our first black President-Elect, Obama, a Democrat! Democrats have cried racism throughout this election directed at the McCain campaign. Let's see if we'll see cries of racism directed at our ENEMIES from the Obama camp and its surrogates. Perhaps Marxist President-Elect Obama can start some of that "aggressive diplomacy" he talked about on the campaign trail. Apparently, Al-Qaida didn't drink Obama's CoolAid and wasn't hypnotized by Hope, Change, and Yes We Can. The only change that will satisfy Al-Qaida is if we give them everything they demand. Thumbs up if you agree that the left's own rhetoric has encouraged our enemies.

Is music the best time capsule ever created?
Description: I had forgotten just how much I loved this woman and her music. I was browsing around one of the old Yak Polls that featured her music when I stumbled upon a couple more forgotten gems. Once I played them, images, sounds smells and emotions just begin to pour out as though I had opened up floodgates or something. I believe that music has got to be one of if not the best vehicles of biological memory preservation ever created.

Sarah Palin Great For Laughs
Description: Now, Sarah Palin is not the 100% reason why John McCain lost. But you gotta admit, her unpreparedness and ignorance gave plenty of material for the news media and late night television. How Obama Got Elected
Description: Aaaahhhhh, the bliss of ignorance. The useful idiots featured in this video helped to march us all further down the death plank to socialist tyranny. This video will be used to produce a documentary highlighting the media malpractice during the presidential campaign. This video proves that the only way to preserve a democratic republic such as ours is to have an informed citizenry. Thumbs up if you agree that these people represent the typical Obama voter.

Would you describe him as an "Uncle Tom" or a "Socialist"
Description: This video is commonly used on some Black boards I know of when calling someone out as an "Uncle Tom" by other Black folks. But when you really listen to what he is saying and what he wants, to me he sounds more like a Socialist than what a Black person would call a "Uncle Tom" or a "Sell out". What do ya'll think? Especially you, Sanco.

I Don't Care About Iraq
Description: Every time that I hear Bush and others talk about how they are helping the Iraqi people gain their independence blah blah I want to gag. Why is it America's job to do this? I remember about 4 years ago they were talking about them getting to vote for the first time. Whooptido. That would've been a perfect time to leave. Did Iraq ask for help? 4,000 soldiers have died trying to help that place and for what? When will this helping end? Billions of dollars spent on that backwards country where people have fun setting off car bombs and for what? The only thing that came out of the Iraqi war was an effed up United States economy all across the board. Thanks alot Bush. I don't care about Iraq and their problems. After Sadaam was killed, the war should've been over. I think people might have been more supportive if they knew that the troops were out helping hungry children and poor families rather than getting killed by these Neanderthals. What ever happened to the mission to feed hungry children that was celebrated in the 80s with We Are the World?

Messiah Image Will Eventually Hurt Obama
Description: No one can live up to the expectations that people with Messianic visions thrust upon them, not even Obama. When the public realizes that he is just another politician who has to fight against the opposition to execute policies, his fall in public opinion will be astronomical. No one can carry the burden that the Messiah image places upon them. My bet is, God forbid, that the Kennedy saga will repeat itself and he will be immortalized in Camelot...

Is a Ban on Gay Marriage an Expansion of Gov't Into the Bedroom?
Description: I'm not sure a ban on gay marriage is a conservative idea. Especially if those who argue against it, who claim to be conservative, and preach the limits of gov't power. What do you think? I saw a sign a woman was holding on CNN that read: "Against Gay Marriage? Don't Marry a Gay Person!!" ...hmmm.

Wouldn't it be illogical for a Molecular Biologist and Geneticist to be racist?
Description: These people understand the DNA and how it works when it comes to the study of codependent, dominant and recessive genes that applies to things such as skin color, hair color, eye color, blood, etc. It just wouldn't make sense to have such a racist mindset. In fact its illogical. Or those who were racist who went into that field of study might clearly change their racist views.
